TAMPA - A woman who works in the security business and a teenager are accused of snatching a donations bucket from a man who was collecting money for charity.
Tampa police said Colleen Sullivan, 21, drove a maroon 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass up to Noel Toledano, who was standing at West Waters and North Armenia avenues about 4:35 p.m. Monday with the collections bucket for Outreach Ministry.
Sullivan's front passenger, Joseph Faucette, 17, grabbed the bucket and tried to wrestle it away from Toledano, causing money to spill into the car, police said. Sullivan drove away.
Toledano, 46, and a witness provided the tag number of the Oldsmobile to police, who arrested Sullivan and Faucette a few hours later.
Sullivan and Faucette, both of Tampa, are charged with felony robbery, police said.
Sullivan was released from the Orient Road Jail today on $2,000 bail. Jail records say she works in sales at Safe Home Security in Tampa.
Faucette was booked into the Juvenile Assessment Center. Police said the arrest violates his probation from another case.
