1 Man Arrested In Connection With Home Invasion

CLEARWATER - Police say they have arrested one of two masked men involved in a home invasion this morning in which one person was shot and another pistol-whipped.
Officers say the crime occurred at 1209 Grantwood Ave. about 11 a.m. Both victims were taken to an area hospital by an acquaintance.
This evening, police arrested Marano McCauley without incident. Detectives found him hiding in a backyard at 1016 Jade Avenue. Additional information was not available this evening.
Police say they don't think the invasion was random.
The man who was shot has been identified as Dominick Daniels, 26, whose address is unknown. The man pistol-whipped has been identified as Marco Conley, 19, who lives at 1209 Grantwood Ave., according to public safety spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts.
