Clearwater Police Seek Suspect In Home Invastion, Shooting

CLEARWATER - Police are searching for two masked men involved in a home invasion this morning in which one person was shot and another pistol-whipped, according to public safety spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts.

Officers say the crime occurred at 1209 Grantwood Ave. about 11 a.m. Both victims were taken to an area hospital by an acquaintance.

Police went to a house a few blocks away, on Hollywood Avenue, where they were told someone who knew something about the crime might be located, she said. But the house was empty.

One of the two masked men might have had dreadlocks. Police say they don't think the invasion was random.

The man who was shot has been identified as Dominick Daniels, 26, whose address is unknown, Watts said. The man pistol-whipped has been identified as Marco Conley, 19, who lives at 1209 Grantwood Ave., she said.
