Congress' Gumption
I find laughable the concern Congress is exhibiting over the AIG bonuses and "greed" situation. If Congress was as smart as they want us to believe, they would have performed some due diligence and discovered the bonus contracts' issue before they gave AIG billions in bailouts.

We bail them out; then we go to the Chinese to bail us out. Irony, strong is thy sting!

To quote Forrest Gump: "Stupid is as stupid does."

Goes to prove that most career politicians couldn't cut it in corporate America. We simply cannot afford them any longer.

One Big Sinkhole

Outrage at AIG handing out $165 million (total payout to be $450 million) to executives who couldn't keep the company in the black is justified and deserved. Due to knee-jerk reactions, my money was handed out by the government in a move that lacked stipulations barring this practice. Should we be surprised?

Another rash move is to have states spend the stimulus funds as quickly as possible so they can get more later. Did anyone think this through? When you are spending millions, you should calmly, rationally and thoughtfully plan where these funds go.

This is a huge sinkhole. But instead of sucking up land, it will suck all the money from the middle-class along with what little hope we had for a decent future.

Selfish Company

I've been an AIG auto insurance customer for two years with no new tickets or accidents and recently had to stop driving my 18-year old pickup truck because AIG increased my six-month policy by $200. And now I hear about these bonuses. It makes me burn to see working people struggle to make AIG's ends meet while they reward themselves.

Questions For TSA

Now that the Tampa Sports Authority executive board has done a hatchet job on Henry Saavedra, I would like to know what percentage of executive board meetings each member attended and what percentage of Bucs' home games each attended in the TSA luxury box on the taxpayers' dole - specifically Jim Norman.
