Land O' Lakes Man Dies In Crash On S.R. 54

LAND O' LAKES - A Land O' Lakes man died when his car collided with a van on State Road 54 on Sunday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Michael Ernest Pascucci, 76, was turning left onto Shirecrest Cove when he drove into the path of a van traveling east on S.R. 54, troopers said.

The van's driver, Ivan Quibete Bajala, 39, of Land O' Lakes, tried to swerve but could not avoid the collision.
Pascucci died.

Pascucci's passenger, Lucy Deluca, 72, of Land O' Lakes, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in serious condition, troopers said.

Bajala and his passenger, Jeyra Dano Bajala, 41, also of Land O' Lakes, were taken to University Community Hospital. They had minor injuries, troopers said.

No charges have been filed.
