You can greet the coming of spring Friday with ice – free Italian ice, courtesy of Rita's Franchise Co.
More than 500 Rita's Italian Ice stores nationwide will hand visitors a free 10 oz. cup of the stuff from noon to 10 p.m. Friday.
The company operates seven stores in the Bay area: 1010 Court St. in Clearwater; 8528 Ridge Road in New Port Richey; 13149 US Highway 301 in Riverview; 13147 86th Ave. N. in Seminole; and at 11640 N. Dale Mabry Highway, 11625 Sheldon Road and 3841 W. Kennedy Blvd., all in Tampa.
