Part of a $24 million nationwide homebuilding effort reached Tampa today as Habitat for Humanity teamed with a Lutheran group to begin raising a home.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and 14 Lutheran churches worked with Habitat for Humanity to begin building the home on North 76th Street. The groups laid a foundation today and held a wall raising ceremony.
Thrivent and Habitat for Humanity plan to build another 314 homes in 37 states during the rest of the year.
