TAMPA - The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of South Florida will hold its spring open house from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water St. downtown.
Instructors will deliver brief overviews of some of the more than 50 Lifelong Learning classes offered in the spring term, which will begin March 30. Topics include history, life writing, geopolitics, art history, religion and genealogy, tai chi, humanities, introductory and intermediate computer classes, and science.
OLLI courses are modestly priced, meet for two hours once a week for six to eight weeks, and are taught by retired USF professors, current faculty, qualified professionals and former schoolteachers. There are no grades, homework or essays. The open house is free.
