Florida State meets Arizona State at 7 tonight in the second round of the NCAA women's basketball tournament in Duluth, Ga.
The Seminoles (26-7) advanced with a 83-71 victory over North Carolina A&T at Gwinnett Arena. ASU beat Georgia 58-47.
FSU, the No. 3 seed in the Trenton, N.J., region, can advance to the Sweet 16 for only the second time in school history. The Seminoles made it that far in 2007, but lost to LSU.
Arizona State (24-8) is the No. 6 seed in the region.
"I think Arizona State's defense is very strong," FSU coach Sue Semrau said. "Their pressure is very unique on the post game. It will be different than we've seen. At the same time, the pressure defenses that we see in the ACC will help us prepare."
