CLEARWATER - One lane of eastbound Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard in Clearwater was closed this morning after a car hit a traffic signal, officials said.
A westbound vehicle on Gulf-to-Bay was rear-ended, causing it to flip and ejecting the driver, public safety spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts said.
The vehicle then went eastbound on Gulf-to-Bay, hitting a traffic signal.
The driver was transported with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Clearwater Fire & Rescue and Clearwater police are at the scene.
The accident happened at 8:17 a.m. and parts of the road were closed until 9:35 a.m.
