Baseball fans going to Sunday's Yankees-Pirates spring training game at Steinbrenner Field might want to show up early to catch a dedication ceremony involving dozens of local firefighters.
The Yankees are dedicating a monument to firefighters and others who died in the Sept. 11 attacks.
The ceremony starts at 12:45 p.m., a half-hour before the game, inside the stadium.
The 6- to 8-foot high monument resembles the Twin Towers and includes part of a steel girder salvaged from the rubble.
The monument will be in the front of the stadium.
