A 26-year-old woman accidentally drove into a Riverview apartment building this morning, striking a natural gas line, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
Sarah Zachman, who lives at the Bayou Crossing Apartments at 10406 Zackary Circle, was pulling into a parking space at the complex about 9:05 a.m. when she accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake, the sheriff's office said.
The woman's 1999 Toyota Camry jumped the curb and struck a building and a natural gas line.
Maintenance workers were able to shut off gas to the building, the sheriff's office said.
No damage occurred to the building and no one was injured, the sheriff's office said.
Zachman was not cited, as the crash occurred on private property, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
