Manatee Schools Employee Charged With Reckless Driving

BRADENTON - An employee of the Manatee County school district was arrested Wednesday night on a charge of reckless driving.
Barbara E. Zorin, 60, of Parrish, was driving a Ford sport utility vehicle near the 12600 block of East 22nd Court in Bradenton about 8 p.m. Other motorists saw Zorin's SUV go up on a curb and continue driving on grass for about 50 yards, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.
Zorin's car went back on the road and sped off, the sheriff's office said. Deputies found Zorin at her home in Parrish. She appeared as if she was driving under the influence and her vehicle had fresh damage to the tires and rims.
Zorin was arrested and booked at Manatee County Jail. A sheriff's office report did not specify Zorin's job at the school district.
