Winter Haven police issued an arrest warrant for Talmar McCormick in the March 11 robbery of a SunTrust Bank branch at 595 Cypress Gardens Blvd. SE.

A man wanted on an unrelated warrant in Arkansas has been identified as a suspect in a March 11 bank robbery in Winter Haven, police said.
Winter Haven police today said an arrest warrant has been issued for Talmar McCormick, 45, in connection with the robbery at the SunTrust Bank branch at 595 Cypress Gardens Blvd. SE.
On March 11, a man wearing sunglasses and a Miami Dolphins ball cap approached a teller at the bank about 2:03 p.m., indicated he had a weapon and demanded cash. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
Detectives identified McCormick as the robber and said he has ties to Polk County, although he is thought to have lived in Missouri and Arkansas in recent years.
McCormick is white, about 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall with a small build. He might be driving a silver or gray pickup, police said.
