An electrical problem sparked a fire at a Tampa apartment this afternoon, doing about $50,000 in damage.
The fire was reported about 1:30 p.m. at 107 1/2 Comanche Avenue. When firefighters arrived, fire had affected about a quarter of the two story, detached garage.
Firefighters had the flames under control within about 20 minutes, and no one was injured. The Tampa Fire Marshals Office said the occupant of the apartment on the second floor of the garage was at work when the fire started.
Early indications are an electrical problem caused the fire, according to the Tampa Fire Marshal's Office.
