TOWN ’N COUNTRY - Leto High students adorned colorful garbs, cooked exotic meals and displayed artifacts from countries across the globe as part of the school's annual International Festival.
More than 500 students participated in the event. Teams of students spent a month studying assigned countries and then displayed their countries at the fair through visual and musical presentations. About 150 countries were represented.
"It's a great way to get the students interested in world cultures," Jeffrey Hagenmeier, head of the Leto's social studies department. "Some students have never heard of their countries, so it really exposes them to new experiences."
