A Pinellas County man has been sentenced to life in federal prison on charges relating to distribution and possession of marijuana and cocaine, according to a U.S. Attorney's Office news release today.
Christopher Powell, 33, who goes by the name "Pistol Peete", distributed between 5 and 20 kilograms of cocaine, as well as other drugs, the release states.
The court ordered that $85,000 and three firearms be seized from him.
Another Pinellas County man, 31-year-old Abram Thompson of Pinellas County, had faced the same charges as Powell. He was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.
The men were found guilty Dec. 12.
