Obama And Mao
When he was in power, Chairman Mao Tse-Tung ruled China by being in everyone's face. Wherever you turned, there he was. You couldn't escape. President Obama appears to be taking a page from his book.
Obama goes on nighttime television talk shows. He holds press conferences every day. His face is on T-shirts. In short, he has been turned into a cult figure.
Will someone please tell him to stay off TV?
Mr. Obama, we know you're the president. Now just do your job, or are you now planning an appearence on American Idol?
I'm beginning to understand how the Chinese felt under Chairman Mao.

No Bipartisanship
Regarding "Respect The President" (Letters, March 26):
Did the author submit a similar letter during the Bush administration's years?
President George W. Bush was called almost every name but a child of God, and the Democrats opposed him at almost every turn.
Bipartisanship is a two-way street, but during the Bush administration it was mostly a one-way street.
It seems that the Democrats always want bipartisanship during their administrations but find reasons to avoid the same when their party is not in control.

A Missed Opportunity
I am very disappointed in your lack of coverage of our 12th Annual Battle of the Bands held at Crews Lake Park on March 20.
This event, sponsored by the Friends of the Pasco County Library System Inc., the Pasco County Library System, the Pasco County Parks & Recreation Department, Jam Music, Encore Music, and Morissound Recording, is a year-long endeavor.
This live concert drew more than 600 young adults who enjoyed an evening of music.
You missed the opportunity to focus on what's good with our young adults in Pasco County. These young adults are developing musical talents and leadership skills, which require attendance at school, keeping up with grades, and additional hours of practice in developing their bands. They are an asset to Pasco County.
