It's funny what one little American television show can do to the fashion world.

Kanye West, rapper and fabulous fan of fashion, did his thing on "American Idol" recently wearing a vintage Levi's Red Tag denim jacket. Now, the jean jacket is hotter than its 1980s acid resurge.

The jean jacket is the perfect unisex trend and - more importantly - most of us recessionistas still have one buried in the closet! You know, the one Sebastian Bach's hair brushed during a Skid Row concert when you managed to elbow your way to the front row for, like, two seconds, and you hoped he would see you and fall in love ... oh, wait, maybe that's just me.

The jean jacket can be worn by anyone with just about anything, except the same color denim. Shorts, capris and skirts are all on the go list to keep it climate friendly. Um, skirts for the ladies only, please. All you boys keep it modern by pairing the jacket with white T-shirts and darker color denim.
