TAMPA - Four county judges and two lawyers have been nominated for a vacancy on the Hillsborough County Circuit Court bench, the Florida Bar said today.
Gov. Charlie Crist will appoint a replacement for Marva L. Crenshaw, who was named to the 2nd District Court of Appeal in January.
The six finalists are: Paul L. Huey, Nick Nazaretian, Cheryl K. Thomas and Elizabeth G. Rice, who are all Hillsborough County judges; and Herbert M. Berkowitz and Richard A. Weis, who are both lawyers.
They were selected by the circuit's judicial nominating commission.
