TAMPA - Spring training is not just for baseball players. Football players have their own version, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are ramping up theirs this week with a three-day minicamp that starts today at One Buc Place.
This is more than just Raheem Morris' first venture onto the field as the Bucs' new head coach. This is a chance to get a peek at the new offense under coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski and the new defense under Jim Bates.
We'll do that primarily during the afternoon workouts today and Wednesday as the three morning workouts will be geared mostly toward honing fundamentals within position groups.
Later today, the media will have opportunities to talk to several players as well as Bates and Morris and get their opinions on where the team stands at this early offseason juncture and about which players are filling the holes that have opened up in the lineup.
We also want to hear from you, the fans. For today, we're interested in learning what area of Bates' defense gives you the most worry and which makes you feel most confident.
The minicamp is closed to the public, but we'll be your eyes and ears. Stay with TBO.com for updates.
