Tampa Man Charged In Robbery Of Food Delivery Person

TAMPA - At gunpoint, a Tampa man robbed a person of $80 and the Chinese food he was attempting to deliver, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Deputies arrested 19-year-old Christopher Irving Jones on Monday night. He was charged with armed robbery.
The victim gave investigators a description of the suspect and a phone number thought to have been used by the man, an arrest report states. A deputy went to the location where the call was made and found Jones on the front steps.
A bag inside with his belongings contained a silver BB gun and paperwork with his name and date of birth, according to the arrest report. The Chinese food, valued at $29.75, was found on a counter in the home.
"The victim positively identified the defendant, the BB gun and the Chinese food," the arrest report states.
Jones remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail has not been set.
