Motor Scooter Driver Dies In 1-Vehicle Hillsborough Crash

A man driving a motor scooter from his Hillsborough County apartment complex this morning died after losing control of the vehicle and crashing into a brick utility storage building within the complex, Hillsborough County sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
The driver of the 2008 Shanghai scooter was identified this afternoon as 24-year-old Adrian Hernandez of 5610 Sailfish Drive, Tampa, the sheriff's office said.
He was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred shortly before noon at the Lake Carlton Arms apartment complex.
