Clearwater police are looking for a man and a woman they say are connected to at least 21 vehicle burglaries over the past two months.
Detectives say are the pair targeted vehicles parked at Clearwater day care centers, businesses with day care centers and churches. The vehicles' windows were smashed to get to items such as purses or briefcases, which were in plain view, police spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts said.
The man and the woman then cashed checks found during the thefts at banks in Largo and Valrico, detectives say.
