Woman Charged With Exposure, Dumping Sewage

TAMPA - Police charged a 62-year-old North Tampa woman with creating a public health issue today after an officer saw her emptying raw sewage down her driveway, a preliminary report states.

It all started when a neighbor of Mariette Dedalge called Tampa police to the 10000 block of North Aster Avenue about 9 a.m. to report that Dedalge had been lifting her skirt to expose her genitals to the neighbor and the neighbor's 17-month-old son, Tampa police said.

When an officer arrived to investigate the complaint, he saw Dedalge dipping a white plastic bowl into a 5-gallon bucket and scooping out feces and urine, a report states.

Dedalge then dumped the raw sewage down the driveway, where it ran into the gutter, police said.

When the officer asked her what she was doing, Dedalge said her plumbing was not working, according to the report.

The officer told her to stop, which she did not, so the officer arrested her.

Dedalge was held on $750 bail at the Orient Road Jail this afternoon. She is charged with two misdemeanors, the public health charge and exposing her sexual organs.
