MIAMI - The man accused of being the "Kendall Rapist" in the early 1990s is now charged with five sexual assaults in the Miami suburb.
William Angel Rivera had been charged with three rapes and an attempted murder. But Miami-Dade County police on Thursday added two more rape charges from 1991. The 42-year-old Rivera now faces five counts of sexual battery, as well as charges accusing him of multiple kidnappings and armed robberies.
He's being held without bond.
Investigators were led to Rivera after his DNA was entered into a database following an arrest in 2008. Police said he may be responsible for even more attacks.
His wife, Niurca Perez, told WFOR-TV he was a loving father and husband.
