BRADENTON - A 52-year-old man authorities suspect in the death of a 42-year-old Bradenton man turned himself in this afternoon.
Manuel D. Canales was seen chasing Patrick Steele along 19th Street West about 10 p.m. Friday, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said. About five minutes later, Steele was found lying in his front yard with a large laceration on the back of his head, the sheriff's office said.
Steele, of 3705 19th St. W., was flown by helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center where he died early this morning.
Canales, of 3618 19th St. W., faces a murder charge in Steele's death, the sheriff's office said.
