An 11-year-old Florida boy is getting ready to finish his hike from Tampa to Washington to draw attention to homelessness among children.
Zach Bonner of Valrico pledged to walk from his home to Washington to raise money and awareness of the cause.
He finished the Tampa-to-Tallahassee leg in 2007, then walked from Tallahassee to Atlanta last year.
On Monday, Zach will embark on the final leg — 668 miles from Atlanta to Washington.
His mom is coming along to drive the RV, and his older sister is driving a Volkswagen Beetle decorated with the logo of Zach's charity, the Little Red Wagon Foundation.
Zach is hoping to meet with President Barack Obama when he gets to Washington around July 9.
