Flight from Tampa to Indy for $58?

AirTran Airways today launched an airfare sale for purchases through Wednesday, with one-way fares between Tampa International Airport and seven cities for $49 to $59, not including fees and taxes.

The bargain fares are good on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through June 23, with May 26 blacked out.
AirTran is offering $49 fares between Tampa and Atlanta; $58 fares between Tampa and Indianapolis; and $59 fares between Tampa and Akron/Canton, Baltimore, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and Rochester.
Fares require a seven-day advance purchase and are valid in either direction.

Other potential bargains from Tampa Bay airports include $38 roundtrip flights between St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport and Greenville, S.C., and Tri-Cities, Tenn., and $98 between the Pinellas County airport and Allentown, Pa., on Allegiant Air, Airfarewatchdog.com reported.

The travel Web site also noted roundtrip fares between Tampa and Fort Lauderdale at $68 on Southwest Airlines and between Tampa and Chicago of $158 on American and United Airlines.
