Five units at the Top of the World condominium in Clearwater were damaged by a fire this evening, but no injuries were reported.
The fire began shortly before 9 p.m. in Unit 11 at the condo complex on 2000 World Parkway. When firefighters arrived, smoke was coming from the front of a bottom-floor unit and flames were shooting out the back.
Firefighters had the blaze under control in about 20 minutes. Two of the five damaged units are uninhabitable; no damage estimate was available this evening.
Fire and arson investigators are conducting a joint investigation into the fire's cause.
