TAMPA - A 50-year-old Gainesville man died Tuesday afternoon when he lost control of his truck while exiting from Interstate 4 to Interstate 75.
Eric Han was westbound on I-4 and had exited onto the I-75 ramp when he lost control of his 2007 GMC truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. He then overcorrected to the right, veered across both lanes and overturned on the grassy shoulder.
Han died at the scene. His sole passenger was his wife, Yu Yang. She was taken to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries.
The crash and investigation closed the exit ramp for several hours.
