Walt Disney Co. will no longer watch for guests on Splash Mountain and other rides who might flash their breasts for souvenir photos, a Disney World spokeswoman said today.
Those employees at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California whose tasks included the ride screening have been reassigned. Other employees will continue to monitor the printed photos that Disney sells at the end of the rides but they won't be standing around watching the riders.
The guests' "flashing" occurrences were rare, said media relations manager Zoraya Suarez..
Part of the motivation on the part of some "flashers" might have been the opportunity to have their picture on a photo preview screen at the ride's exit, according to an Associated Press report from Disneyland.
