New 'Trek' launches into theaters Thursday

You can boldly go where no "Star Trek" fan has gone before — starting at 7 p.m. Thursday at area theaters.
Director J.J. Abrams' new "Star Trek" movie — which has a fresh take on the characters from the iconic TV show — already has prompted rants and raves from loyal fans and "Star Trek" newbies.
Starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban and Eric Bana, the highly anticipated movie is a reboot of the sci-fi franchise taking audiences back to the first meeting of a rebellious James T. Kirk and a conflicted Mr. Spock at Starfleet Academy.
