TAMPA - Hillsborough Avenue in western Hillsborough County has reopened after a fatal motorcycle crash early this morning.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers identified the biker killed as Johnnie G. Miller, 62, of Dunedin. Miller was riding a 2002 Honda west on Hillsborough approaching Double Branch Road when he crashed.
Troopers said that he and Kathryn M. Shade, 21, of Safety Harbor were continuously changing lanes when Shade's 2009 Honda struck the motorcycle, causing the crash.
Miller was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. Shade suffered minor injuries, troopers said.
The crash, which occurred just after 3 a.m., blocked all lanes for several hours.
No charges were immediately filed.
