Man killed in Lakeland by hit-and-run driver

Lakeland police have identified the victim in a hit-run that happened this morning near 800 N. Scott Avenue.

Andrew Anderson, 33, was struck about 2 a.m., police said.

Witnesses were not able to identify the type of vehicle but told the Lakeland Police Department the driver headed east on Pear Street. Paramedics declared Anderson dead at the scene.
