As a recent retiree, I have been exposed to many inequities in our health-care system. Too many fingers in the pie. Too much misinformation. Way-too-small fine print. Fees that range from reasonable to "what!"

A certain dental procedure was $270 in New Port Richey but only $130 in West Palm Beach. I had Lap-Band surgery in West Palm. Follow-up was $135, with insurance reimbursement of $121 with no co-payment. In New Port Richey the doctor wanted $300 for the follow-up and $500 for the office visit - with the same insurance!
Health reform must take place now. The drug industry must be better regulated, along with stabilizing doctor and surgery fees. When your turn comes, where will you stand?
