Many local fine dining restaurants have started offering significant discounts, especially Tampa's prime steakhouses. Here are some limited-time offers:

Boizao, 4606 Boy Scout Blvd.,Tampa: This Brazilian steakhouse has offered 50 percent discounts on certain occasions, such as Easter Sunday, as well as a $36.90 special on Mother's Day. Diners receive the discounts after joining its "E-club" on www.boizao.com.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, 4322 W. Boy Scout Blvd., Tampa: $35.95 three-course meal featuring a choice of three entrees, Salmon citron, Kingston Banks Roast Chicken or Steak Caribe.

Gallagher's, 615 Channelside Drive #203, Tampa: $45 three-course meal featuring a choice of ribeye, 8-ounce filet mignon, New York strip or salmon and side order, as well as soup or salad, and a dessert.

Malio's Prime Steakhouse, 400 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa: Half-price cuts, including filet mignon, porterhouse, rib-eye, New York strip, prime rib and pork chops, until 7 p.m.

The Palm, 205 WestShore Plaza, Tampa: $39 meal including filet mignon, side dish and starter dish.

Ruth's Chris, 1700 N. West Shore Blvd., Tampa: $39.95 three-course meal including starter, choice of steak, fish or shrimp entrees, and dessert.

Shula's Steak House, 4860 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa: $39.95 three-course meal including choice of five entrees, crab cakes, a filet mignon, chicken, salmon or shrimp.

Splash!, 3973 Van Dyke Road, Lutz: This seafood house is offering a different "stimulus" package each weeknight, such as a $5 shrimp taco meal with purchase of a soft drink or alcoholic drink on Tuesdays, and a $10 sirloin meal on Thursdays.

Timpano Chophouse & Martini Bar, 1610 W. Swann Ave., Tampa: This steakhouse gives diners a $10-off coupon on first visit and steeper discounts on subsequent visits. It also mailed out $20-off coupons recently.
