I am sure there are many righteous souls who are paying for God to send rain, which we so desperately need. The governor of Georgia asked his citizens to pray for rain a few years ago, and the next day the rains came.
I only wish our water departments had had the foresight to plan ahead for this inevitable crisis. I would have willingly cut back on watering my lawn to twice or even once a month if they had just told us how serious this problem was. Surely they knew the possibility of this happening - just as they should have known the building boom would demand more water than we could supply.
I will certainly give a lot of thought as to who will get my vote in our next elections.
