Deputies ID pedestrian killed by car

TAMPA - Deputies have identified a pedestrian hit and killed by a vehicle Saturday night as 18-year-old Thomas Allen Jones.
Jones was crossing Fletcher Avenue west of Florida Avenue about 9:55 p.m. when he walked into the path of a 2004 Ford Excursion driven by Bobby Lee Torres, 38, of Tampa, deputies said.
Jones, of 129 W. 131st St., died at the scene. The investigation continues.
