Tampa police: 5 arrested in prostitution sting

TAMPA - Police say they arrested five men late Saturday and early today in a prostitution sting on Nebraska Avenue.
Four arrests took place at Nebraska and Lambright Street between 10 and 11 p.m. Saturday. The fifth was at Nebraska and Hillsborough Avenue just after midnight. One man was also charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession after police searched his car.
All the men offered an undercover police officer money for sex, police said.
Arrested were: Scenarine Kandi, 31; Wilferedo Godoykamos, 35; Tomas Sevilla, 55; and Pierre Dorvilien, 22, all of Tampa; and Lee Carter, 55, of Dallas.
All five were charged with soliciting to commit prostitution, a misdemeanor. Carter also faces a marijuana possession charge.
Godoykamos, Sevilla and Dorvilien each were released on $250 bail. Carter and Kandi remained at the Orient Road Jail this afternoon. Bail was set at $750 for Carter and $250 for Kandi.
