VALRICO - An 11-year-old Florida boy is getting ready to finish his hike to Washington to draw attention to homelessness among children.
Zach Bonner of Valrico pledged to walk from his home to the nation's capital to raise money and awareness of the cause.
He finished the Tampa-to-Tallahassee leg in 2007 and walked from Tallahassee to Atlanta last year.
Today, Zach will embark on the final leg - 668 miles from Atlanta to Washington.
His mother, Laurie, is coming along to drive the RV, and his older sister is driving a Volkswagen Beetle decorated with the logo of Zach's charity, the Little Red Wagon Foundation.
Zach hopes to meet with President Barack Obama when he gets to Washington about July 9.
