BROOKSVILLE - The couple that was discovered floating near the coast of Hernando Beach during the weekend was listed in good condition Monday, a hospital spokesman said.
Timothy Allen, 52, and Paula Allen, 48, were treated by paramedics at a boat ramp shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday and transported by ambulance to Oak Hill Hospital, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
They were still being treated as of noon Monday, said Oak Hill spokesman Richard Linkul.
The divers were seen approximately 20 miles off the coast by brothers Garrett and Patrick Pinder, of Pasco County. Their father called the authorities.
The couple could not swim their way back to their 28-foot vessel because of a strong current, according to the Coast Guard. They had been stranded in the water since Saturday afternoon.
