BROOKSVILLE - A Hernando High School student was arrested Friday on charges of making a drug deal in the school's parking lot.
The transaction came to light after a student was brought to the school office because she appeared under the influence of an illegal substance.
The student told the school resource officer that she had bought Xanax from the suspect on Thursday in the parking lot.
The 16-year-old suspect, who is not being named because of her age, reportedly admitted to selling the pills and was arrested on two counts of sale of a controlled substance.
