DADE CITY - A Dade City teenager wanted since an incident Sunday during which a deputy shot him in the thigh has been arrested, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
The father of Jevante Tyre Hill, 18, led deputies to the Tampa hotel where the teen was staying, the sheriff's office said. Hill was taken to Pasco Regional Medical Center in Dade City before being sent to the Land O' Lakes Jail.
He faces charges including resisting arrest with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer. He also was charged with armed robbery and grand theft auto stemming from a May 5 incident in Lacoochee.
On Sunday night, investigators responded to 20634 Evergreen Court, No. 11, in Lacoochee. Hill was hiding in the shower and "lunged at the deputies and grabbed for one of their guns," the sheriff's office said.
A deputy fired several rounds at Hill, who fled.
