Resource teacher delivers

Ross Anderson serves as a surrogate parent to at least 60 boys. On Friday, some of those boys were present as he received the We Deliver award.
The honor, bestowed annually by the Hillsborough County School District to a stellar employee, comes with $10,000 provided by an anonymous donor to the district's education foundation.
Anderson's first thoughts were of the young people he mentors in the Men of Vision program at Van Buren Middle School in Tampa. "I'll probably get a bigger van, from seven- to a 15-passenger van," said Anderson, a resource teacher.
Three runners-up each won $1,000: Charla Kerwin, Springhead Elementary; Angela Keller, Greco Middle; Wayne Stinnard, Cypress Elementary.
