Results from the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test released today will show the number of third-graders likely to advance to fourth grade.
The third-grade FCAT reading and math results are the latest scores the state is rolling out before school grades are released this summer.
For a high-stakes test, today's results draw more attention than most. If third-graders failed to score higher than the lowest of five levels on the reading test, they could be forced to repeat the grade.
Last year, 72 percent of the state's third-graders read at grade level, test data show. Students who score at the bottom can attend summer camps to test into fourth grade, or a teacher can show whether a student is proficient.
