LARGO - A tornado warning for northern Pinellas County expired at 1 p.m.

Dopper radar indicated a tornado formed near Largo at 12:36 p.m. and was moving northwest at 15 mph, the National Weather Service said.

The radar continued to indicate a tornado near Belleair or Clearwater at 12:45 p.m. A funnel cloud was reported near Ulmerton Road and U.S. 19. The funnel cloud was stretching toward the ground but had not touched ground, the weather service said.

Anyone in a tornado's path should seek immediate shelter in a small interior room until the danger has passed.
