When committing a home invasion, criminals usually find it's good not to leave behind evidence that law enforcement can use against you.
Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies say Alex Joseph, 19, of Tampa, left a cell phone at the scene of a home invasion last month. The phone led deputies to another man, Emilio Allen, and Allen told deputies Joseph had dropped it during the home invasion.
Deputies arrested Joseph at 2 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 1211 E. 18th Ave.
He was charged with armed robbery-home invasion.
Deputies say Joseph and Allen were armed with a gun when they robbed a Wimauma home at 3:45 a.m. April 26. The victims gave the men $185, deputies say.
Allen, 23, of Wimauma, was arrested April 26 on several charges, including armed robbery-home invasion. He is being held in Falkenburg Road Jail without bail.
Joseph remained in Orient Road Jail on Thursday. No bail had been set.
