In 1968, artist Andy Warhol spoke about fleeting fascination declaring that "everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes."
We don't know about the "world-famous" part, but there are certainly a number of people (and objects) that have worn out their 15 minutes – many times over.
A new exhibit of Warhol's work at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg recalls that fleeting fame and in the influence it had on the artist's work.
Just for the record, here's our list of people (and things) whose fame can't tick to zero quickly enough:
1. The Bolleas & Hogans (Hulk, Linda, Nick and Brooke, and their significant others, cars and mioney needs)
2. Paula Abdul
3. IKEA
4. The Jessicas (Simpson and Sierra)
5. Winter the dolphin
6. Swine flu
7. Anything "Twilight"
8. Roger Clemmons
9. Britney & Madonna
10. Donald Trump and his beauty pageants
What would you add to the list?
