West Shore Plaza evacuated for restaurant fire

Firefighters briefly evacuated WestShore Plaza this morning because of smoke from a stove fire at Maggiano's Little Italy, officials said.
Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the restaurant about 10:12 a.m. to discover smoke from the fire, which had started on the stovetop and moved to the inside and back of the stove.
No one was injured, but firefighters evacuated the restaurant and surrounding area to ventilate the smoke.
Officials did not provide an estimate of the damage but said it was minimal and confined to the stove.
